The Curve of the Earth

The Curve of the Earth is a graphic score that is played in concert with live electronics. It contains six additional scores, known as Observations, that are optionally performed in concert with the primary score. The score is hand brushed ink on a long scroll which is meant to be performed sequentially over multiple performances and is an example of an electric score. The optional Observations are Musical Patterns printed on transparencies that when performed are overlaid on the unrolled scroll.

This page is an archive of information, performances, recordings and related material to The Curve of the Earth. Forthcoming and past performances will be documented here, but the primary material will be links to other material on the web: links to blog posts about aspects of the score, reviews and discussions, recordings and related media and so forth. This will be a frequently updated page and worth keeping an eye on.

Preliminary Sketches
